Monsoon..Raindrops keep falling on my head!!
Enough of summer-2008.Been hot and humid and now am looking forward to the monsoon.I love the rain and the atmosphere that is created around it.The cool breeze. the little rain drops splashing ur face and the road side food from tea to pakodas..all of them make monsoon the best part of the year.
The MET department has predicted a normal monsoon and i pray and hope for once the met department's correct. Here in Hyd the monsoon strikes in mid june and as i cant bear this heat anymore am goin to escape to nainital for the next 2 weeks.SO by the time am back monsoon wil be here in full force and hopefully wil bring a smile on my face.
The song "Raindrops keep falling on my head" by BJ Thomas is best apt to describe my affection for the rain..here goes the lyrics..and yeah do listen to this song..it was also a part of the movie forest grump..and for ppl who still dont get it ..this track was played whenever we dialed for the customer care on the erstwhile HUTCH network...
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

Damn it!!!! Kimi forces force india out..
If I was in the place of A Sutil or Vijay Mallya today at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, i would have seriously gone and killed Kimi..but fortunately they r they and not me so he lives to see another day.Force India F1 team never ever had a better chance to get some points but the commentators curse struck again and A Sutil lost out from coming 4th in the wee stages of the race not because of his mistake but due to kimi loosing his control and ramming into him.Feel sorry for the man..must be shattered..looked unconsolable when he got back into the pits after crashing out..am pretty sure behind that helmet tears must be rollin down his eyes..Common who wont feel like that..ur in one of the worst teams and have had a very bad season and when things suddenly r goin gud for u ..someone comes and spoils the party.Mr Sutil keep up the spirit ..u drove very well and ull be up there soon.....
Now coming back to the race, me being a hardcore ferrari fan , i was totally depressed at the end of the race..nothin seem to go in ferrari's favour.Massa slipped out to 3rd, kimi got a penalty and then recked sutil's car and on top of that hamilton , our bitter enemy, had all the luck ...punctured his tyre at the right time..he went into the pits from 3rd position to get his tyres put back and fill the tank to the brim and still came out at 4th because there was an accident and the safety car had been called out..so the race played into his hands! kubica did well to come 2nd..
overall the race was exciting but could have been way better if ferrari would have won and sutil would have a gotten a few more points.the season turning into a pot boiler and no one can guess whose goin to take home the championship at this stage...
Election Tamasha....
The tamashas just begun ..The results for the Karnataka assembly elections-2008 are out and even though BJP seems to be the single largest party and a stone throws away from the all important halfway mark..its very unlikely that things wil be smooth for them ..politics is a game of uncertainties especially when u have THE GOWDAS playing the game they way they do..already u have different permutations and combinations with some people stil predicting that JD(S) might have the last laugh..very well possible i say.One things for sure this was a mandate against the JD(S) and was an election which congress could easily win but the BJP played its cards well and have come out victorious till now.
Everybody is playing the game of musical chairs.... lets see who has the last laugh!!

Dream Destinations!! - Nainital
Am off for a holiday next week to Nainital so found it fitting to blog about this place which til a few years back used to be my summer home.Til i was in 10th i made it a point to spend atleast 2 weeks of summer there with near and dear ones .Ive always had a ball there and each time ive never had enough of it..just want to spend more time there..its a place where ul never get bored and theres always something for everyone from food to sightseeing to shopping to education(sherwood college..wad a school man!!! i rate it the second best school in india after HPS)Here goes the story of nainital....
It is a town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 1,938 metres (6,358 feet) above sea level,Nainital has temperate summers, maximum temperature 27 °C (81 °F); minimum temperature 10 °C (50 °F), during which its population increases more than fivefold with an annual influx of tourists predominantly from the plains of Northern India.
It is believed that Nainital figures in some ancient myths of India. In the Manas Khand of the Skand Puranas, Nainital Lake is called Tri-Rishi-Sarovar, hinting at the story of three sages (or rishis), Atri, Pulastya and Pulaha, who, upon finding no water in Nainital, dug a large hole at the location of the present day lake (sarovar = lake) and filled it with water from the holy lake Manasarovar in Tibet. According to lore, a dip in Naini Lake, "the lesser Manasarovar," earns merit equal to a dip in the great lake.
It is also believed that Naini Lake is one of the 64 Shakti Peeths, or religious sites where parts of the charred body of Sati (Parvati) fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiva. The spot where Sati's eyes (or Nain) fell, came to be called Nain-tal or [lake of the eye.] The goddess Shakti is worshipped at the Naina Devi Temple on the north shore of the present day lake.
The places to visit are many. Some of the prominent places - The Naini Devi Temple,The Governers house, Jim Cobbert's house, hill Top,China Point,Naini Peak , Snow View...the list is endless..and there are a number of places like Jim Cobbert Park,Sattal around it where ppl must go spend some time.

Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na
source: google/indiafm
Would it be Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak once again with the arrival of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Naa? This is the first feeling one got the moment the first look of this Aamir Khan production was out. Marking the launch pad of his nephew, Imraan Khan, Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa seems to be another innocent love story in the offering sans any unnecessary mush, hence going truly with contemporary times. With pretty girl Genelia D’Souza opposite Imraan in this campus flick and A.R. Rahman as the composer, this Abbas Tyrewala debut directorial venture (he also doubles up as a lyricist here), JTYJN, is a promising flick arriving this summer. Does the music hold up to the promise? The answer is - Yes!
First things first - when the best of the best of 2008 would be written down, the number ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi’ would definitely find a mention. Crooned by newcomer Rashid Ali who is being introduced by Rahman on Bollywood musical arena, the song is beautiful from the word GO, the moment guitar strings mark the song’s beginning.
Rashid’s voice is just perfect for an actor who is being launched in a youthful romantic entertainer and the singer utilizes the big platform to the fullest. While Abbas’ lyrics go truly with contemporary times, it is a nice change to hear a Rahman composition in a truly mainstream cinema rather than the historical/period/issue based films for which he has been creating music for quite some time now.
In true Rahman style, he gets together a bunch of singers for the track ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’. Well, this is the track which is supposedly a spoof on Salman Khan’s on and off screen image and has been making news in last few days. The song’s beginning has a rhythm which has formed a part of the racy proceedings in the first teaser of Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa that had kick started the film’s promotion a few weeks back.
Anupama, Benny Dayal, Blazee, Tanvi, Darshana, Satish Subramanium and Aslam come together to sing about this character called ‘Pappu’ who has seen all the riches in his life. Since the day he was born, he roams around in the best of the cars, has a body to die for, boasts of an impeccable style, but alas, can’t dance to save his life. Hence the title - ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’. A fast moving fun song, which has a campus setting to it and also appears in a ‘remix version’, ‘Pappu’ is a song which should be fun when watched on the big screen.
It’s a new sound at the very beginning of ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai (Aditi)’ that hooks you on instantaneously. This very rhythm stays throughout this song which is crooned for the female character of the film, Aditi, by yet another relative newcomer Runa. If the song’s haunting tune wasn’t enough, the way Runa renders the track makes it one as the sad theme of the song conveys what the protagonist is going through. A number about a girl remembering the times gone by with the boy she loved, ‘Jaane Tu’ is composed in a style, which is similar to that of ‘Zara Zara’ [Rehnna Hai Terre Dil Mein] and hence can be expected to grow over a period of time.
The song is later heard in a version meant for the film’s male protagonist Jai and is titled ‘Jaane Tu Meri Kya Hai (Jai)’. This time around the beginning is even more somber and takes it’s own time to reach the stage where Sukhwinder Singh comes around to hold the center stage. The pensive mood is conveyed well yet again though this time around the version is even more somber.
Guitar is at play once again in the number ‘Nazrein Milaana Nazrein Churaana’. The best song to arrive after ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi’, ‘Nazrein’ deserves to be the next song in line for promotion. Packed with youthful energy, the number has a Rahman stamp all over it and goes in perfectly well with the film’s campus mood. In fact just one hearing and you are sure to carry the number along for your next camp fire outing.
Yet again, it’s an array of singers - Benny Dayal, Satish Chakravarthy, Naresh Iyer, Darshana, Shwetha, Tanvi, Bhargavi, Anupama - who come together but never once does one feels like trying to find out the singer behind a particular line. A complete team effort which reminds of the number ‘Sama Yeh Suhaana’ [Goonj] when it comes to it’s setting.
The album continues to become better with every passing song, especially so the moment the title song arrives. Surprisingly, instead of ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa’, it is titled ‘Tu Bole Main Boloon’, which are the opening words of the song. Sung by Rahman himself, the song is a funny take on how this guy and the girl have two different perspectives to everything, even though at the end what they mean is just the same! A bona fide jazz number with soft drums, saxophone and other associated musical instruments in tow, ‘Tu Bolev’ has an international feel to it in the way it’s entire arrangements are done.
After a brilliant ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagiv’, Rashid Ali returns with ‘Kahin To Hogi Ho’ where he has Vasundara Das for company. Yet another beautiful number which carries an Indi-pop feel to it, this love song has such a serene feel to it that one can’t help playing the number on a repeat mode. This is a kind of a soft romantic number that you wish to preserve in your iPod and play it your loved one at the first given opportunity. A brilliant number which makes it two out of two for Rashid Ali!
The soundtrack here is unlike a conventional Bollywood score and instead introduces a style, which goes with the contemporary youthful setting. Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa is an album, which deserves to be bought this season. With Jannat being the only album which is registering good sales and no other album from past or present matching it’s performance on the stands, Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Naa by A.R. Rahman comes as welcome relief.

Butterfly Effect-Can flapping of wings cause a tornado??
I came across this unique theory at a General Awareness class so found it worth mentioning here.In simple words the theory states that if a butterfly flaps its wings at a faster rate than it usually does, it can actually cause some serious stuff--you name it from a cyclone to a tornado ..seriously ppl am not kidding here...an amazing concept based on air pressures and all...worth giving it a read. The following article from wiki will help u further understand it..I know its difficult to believe but its been proved...strange strange world!!
The butterfly effect is a phrase that encapsulates the more technical notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory. Small variations of the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. So this is sometimes presented as esoteric behavior, but can be exhibited by very simple systems: for example, a ball placed at the crest of a hill might roll into any of several valleys depending on slight differences in initial position
The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado or delay, accelerate or even prevent the occurrence of a tornado in a certain location. The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale alterations of events. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different. Of course the butterfly cannot literally cause a tornado. The kinetic energy in a tornado is enormously larger than the energy in the turbulence of a butterfly. The kinetic energy of a tornado is ultimately provided by the sun and the butterfly can only influence certain details of weather events in a chaotic manner.
So the next time there's an unexpected tornado or cyclone in ur area..u know the reason :p

Trial by Media??
Countless no of news channel..some figure puts it at 37 national news channels alone in india..all of them have one simple aim to get the highest TRPs by sensationalizing the news.So from actually reporting whats needed for the society..the media has now grown into a monster. They believe they run a parallel justice system and have the right to adjudge whether a person is guilty or not. Most of the times their justice system is found to be totally wrong..and the few times when they have actually been right , its not because they investigated the case well but because the case was so simple that even a child could solve it.The media turnin in to this monster , has ruined the lives of many a people..the Arushi murder case is one such example
Lets not speak abt the investigation because no ones sure of what happened but the point is the media keeps finding a new culprit..and as they say "hatyara kaun??"..in this case they have blamed everyone from the servant hemraj , who was found murdered later on, to the father of the girl just because the father and infact the whole family was asked a few questions by the investigative authority there. And bizarely some of our media had a new theory of thinking the father was involve din it because the family refused to speak and some one pointed it out by saying that "YOUR GUILTY THATS WHY YOUR NOT SPEAKING"... strange words man..common uve lost a close family member and u dont wanna get bugged by assholes who wil do anything for a bite and provoke u to loose ur cool so that they could turn it into a breaking news...damn it ..they r such losahs!!Leave the family alone..they r already goin through hell...
I would like to ask a simple question to the all powerful media..if it was someone of ur family ..would u have done the same??? Behaved the same?? The answer for sure would be know..the medias role is to report the truth and not to be a a parallel justice system.Help where needed and not interfere just to get the TRPs..
I saw this discussion on NDTV last night where the family members had come down and some of the noted journalists like deepak chaurasiya of aaj tak were also present and found it fitting to blog on a topic that is very relevant and important. We dont need a media which is out to ruin peoples live. Its time the media acted more responsibly and started lookin at issues which effect the society.

Tech Funda - DNS
Many of us who use the internet know how to configure our ethernet cards/modems.We blindly fill in the values as given to us by the service provider. But how many of us know what each field in ti stands for and wad work is done by it.So appropriately the tech funda of the week is DNS which is one of the fields we fill in the network configuration window..why have i chosen this topic u might ask..answers simple its a very common internet term which very very few ppl know about but use it and its simple to understand it too.
Ill give u an example..each one of u when in organization are given a unique id no. so if ur name is "X" ur idno is 1234.Similarly online we have servers to whom we want to connect..say google or yahoo..but to connect to these servers we need their ip address (127.0.0.1 being an example). There are millions of websites in the world and to remember the ip address of each one would be very difficult so what we do is that we use common names instead of them. Now when we go type some url like www.google.com , this url is fed to the Domain Name Space Server which gives the browser the ip address to which it has to connect too.DNS is like a database in a company where we can get the idnos on inputtin the names.
The following details are technical in nature and wil help u understand the technical aspects of it:
The Domain Name System (DNS) associates various information with domain names; most importantly, it serves as the "phone book" for the Internet by translating human-readable computer hostnames, e.g. www.example.com, into IP addresses, e.g. 208.77.188.166, which networking equipment needs to deliver information. It also stores other information such as the list of mail servers that accept email for a given domain. In providing a worldwide keyword-based redirection service, the Domain Name System is an essential component of contemporary Internet use.
The most basic task of DNS is to translate hostnames to IP addresses. In very simple terms, it can be compared to a phone book. DNS also has other important uses.
Above all, DNS makes it possible to assign Internet names to organizations (or concerns they represent) independent of the physical routing hierarchy represented by the numerical IP address. Because of this, hyperlinks and Internet contact information can remain the same, whatever the current IP routing arrangements may be, and can take a human-readable form (such as "example.com"), which is easier to remember than the IP address 208.77.188.166. People take advantage of this when they recite meaningful URLs and e-mail addresses without caring how the machine will actually locate them.
The Domain Name System distributes the responsibility for assigning domain names and mapping them to IP networks by allowing an authoritative name server for each domain to keep track of its own changes, avoiding the need for a central register to be continually consulted and updated.
A domain name usually consists of two or more parts (technically a label), separated by dots. For example example.com.
- The rightmost label conveys the top-level domain (for example, the address www.example.com has the top-level domain com).
- Each label to the left specifies a subdivision, or subdomain of the domain above it. Note: “subdomain” expresses relative dependence, not absolute dependence. For example: example.com comprises a subdomain of the com domain, and www.example.com comprises a subdomain of the domain example.com. In theory, this subdivision can go down 127 levels. Each label can contain up to 63 characters. The whole domain name does not exceed a total length of 255 characters. In practice, some domain registries may have shorter limits.
- A hostname refers to a domain name that has one or more associated IP addresses; ie: the 'www.example.com' and 'example.com' domains are both hostnames, however, the 'com' domain is not.

LOL!!
I use that frigging word alot and its irritated the hell out of ppl!! but now its here to haunt me..today a dumb foolish "bengali"(that person aint one but ppl love mocking that person with that) irritated me to the core with the word LOL and am so bugged with it that am writing a blog on it!!!
How many of us use the word LOL?? i say most of us in our convo online or smsing cant miss a convo without using it..i have a bad habit of usin it for no reason in many of my smses...ive been tryin lately to control it and i guess it has to a certain extent..
A brief description of this irritating abbreviation
LOL (also written lol and any other combination) is a common element of Internet slang used, historically, on Usenet but now widespread to other forms of computer-mediated communication, and even spread to face-to-face communication. It is an abbreviation for "laughing out loud" or "laugh out loud". "LOL" is one of many initialisms for expressing bodily reactions, in particular laughter, as text, including initialisms such as "ROTFL" ("roll(ing) on the floor laughing"), more emphatic expressions of laughter, and "BWL" ("bursting with laughter") .Other unrelated expansions include the less common "lots of luck" or "lots of love".LOL", "ROFL", "LMFAO" and the other initialisms have crossed from computer-mediated communication to face-to-face communication. We now sometimes use them in spoken communication as well as in written, with "ROFL" pronounced /ˈroʊfəl/ or /ˈrɒfəl/ and "LOL" pronounced /ˈloʊl/, /ˈɛloʊˌɛl/, or /ˈlɒl/, for example.
i dont get it why is this obsession with this word which is basically bugging..ill give u an example... the other day i asked my friend how was the exam and the reply i got with this sad face as if the worlds come to an end "dude!! i f***ed it ..lol!!!" common wats the lol all about here..am i missing the humor in it??? hmph!!u feel so dumb sometimes..but am thankful to this friend of mine who bugged the living hell out of me with this word that in future ill relieve people of the torture of tryin to get the humor in a sentence..
And if u think this irritation is funny , ive got one word for u suckaaa "LOL"

Bon Appetite!!!-The Adventures Of the Chef that never was!!
If there ever was a day i repented not doin hotel management ..its today!!!Mom's out of town so i've to fend for my own food!!The easy way out would be either get it from outside or ask the servant to cook..but then me being me...i decided to cook!!
Ive earlier cooked non-veg a few times which has come out well and can make anything to with eggs and snacks...but today i decided to make lemon rice..from start to finish!!The adventure begins now....
Cookin rice turned out to be the most difficult part which for a "veteran" like me was a cake walk:p...now came the most important part putting the masalas just the right amount and makin it as good as it can get!!I knew that the masalas had to be turmeric, salt and red chilli with green chillies, kadipata and groundnuts!!Just to cross check i went online and found out that i have to fry channa dal too and some other seeds..So did exactly what was told step by step and guess wad it came out super duper!!! - IT AINT GONNA EVER BE BETTER THAN THIS!!!!
So am on cloud number 9 with my mouth watering cooking and wil soon try out fried rice too..cooking chicken aint a task here because ive done that and conquered it with my head held high!!
The adventures of the chef continues and il keep updating u about some of my best recipes.i some how feel like ratatouille(its a movie where a rat discovers that it is a hell of a cook and so am i!!!!)Anyone wants to try it out gimme a call and come over..il be honored to feed the hungry:p...and any recipes u wanna share feel free to speak ot the gr8 one....
So until next time keep eating!!
Bon Appetite!!!

Quota!! The Verdict stil aint out!!
Before i begin with the whole quota thing il like to make it clear at the onset that I'm totally against the whole quota thing so my views will be biased so if u've got a problem with it .I really dont care!!
Ok..just when the whole jingbang supporting the quota thing from the government to the political parties to certain communities were celebrating there so called victory on winning the quota issue at The Honorable Supreme Court..they were in for a "rude" shock when the Honorable Kolkatta High Court put a stay in the implementation of it in th PG level!!
This stay has given a hope to us,the people against quota, that yes we can still see to it that quota isnt implemented atleast in the PG level!!The Supreme Court in its judgement according to the media has said that there is no need for quotas in the PG level.Different people have read this statement in a various ways..some say it hasnt put nay restriction in quotas while others say that the SC has clearly stated that there shouldnt be any quota in PG level at all! I'm 0 when it comes to law so i have no interpretation of this judgement.Though i have my own opinion on the whole quota thing at the PG level!
As i said am against quota but now as the SC has said quotas are needed atleast in the under graduate level..there is no point arguing or discussing that issue!! now comin to the issue of quotas at PG level!!First point ppl who are abt to do their PG by now should have a gud enough knowledge and u cant keeping pushing ppl all the way!! I hope their aint a day when i get treated by a doc who doenst know his subject well but became a doctor because he got a seat through quota even though they were many better than him who dint get a chance! Why do they want quota ??They have already got it at their under graduate levels and now are on par with the so called general category students..no one has a proper answer for this!!
Another debated issue is where do we draw the lines on cut offs ?? u cant have a student with quota comin in at marks less than half of that required by a general category student!!Common we need quality too..u just cant run after quantity and try fillin up the quotas...And please please keep the creamy layer out..who knows some billionaires son also might apply for the quota saying he is backward :p
A solution to this whole quota thing is to improve the education at primary levels in rural districts!!This will uplift the so called backward category students and then we wil not need a quota for higher education!!
The whole quota issue will not die down..Its been in the news for the last 60 years and will continue to be the central issue for long time in the future.Elections are here!! and parties al over wil try using the quota issue as their trump card...there might be a day when we general category students are forced to ask for a quota too..hope that day never comes though because quotas divide instead of uniting the people!!
Say No To Quota!!
Disclaimer:-I dint mean to hurt the sentiments of any caste/ community. If ive offended anyone its unintentional and my apologies for the same .This is my opinion on the issue and people are free not to agree with me on this and i will respect their opinions on the issue.
Blogging : The next fad??
Amitabh has one..even aamir has one and now srk too is supposedly joining the party!!Is blogging the next big fad?? Ur not hep & happening if u dont write a blog??i dont think so but then certain things point just to that..
Very recently a friend of mine asks me to check out her blog and when i asked "blogging and u?"?She said as amitabh's doin it so will she!! i was like..huh!!...ppl blog to put out their views or some like me to earn a quick buck :p..but now things r changing..ppl blog because big stars blog and as they say ur "happening" if u blog...strange it is..
The question arises how long can this fad continue?? And will it sustain? This same very friend hasnt posted anything new since that one off start up blogs of hers..the "josh" has fizzled out..There might be many more like her who adore their heroes/heroines and just because they r doin it so wil they..
Am just waiting for Rajnikanth to start a blog..Blogger,Blogadda and the rest of the pack wil see such huge new registrations that they'll probably crash..u'll have every single tamilian posting online..and there might be a day when the virtual world might just be taken over by his fans :p ....am predicting the invasion's gonna strike soon!
Even though more celebrity blogs are on the anvil i think the fads gonna fizzzzz out very soon.I have a suggestion if u just wanna blog because of the latest fad..ppl dont waste time in blogging cause its gonna be out of fashion soon and then "u" wil no longer be interested
and ur gonna waste ur "precious time":p which can be better utilized in other ways of being so called "happening" that wil atleast last longer than this....
P.S:- i havent read any celebrity blog yet!! yes no amitabh, srk, aamir and whoever..one reason might be ive had enough of it all over the news especially the so called "news" channels like aaj tak and headlines today!!
So until next time Keep Blogging!!

Schumi-The profile of a Champion!!!
The greatest of orators run out of words to describe the man so forgive me if i am not able to bring out the man himself..Michael Schumacher...he's been the best in the business and Formula1 might not ever see a champion of his class..
He has been an inspiration to millions..an idol.an icon..finding it difficult to even write abt him....a guru now to the new drivers at ferrari..For me personally he's been GOD!!his passion to win..his drive for excellence..his zeal..his honesty..damn every quality in him his something i look upto and i think millions all over the world too...
Ill just copy paste his wikipedia profile cause i dont want any of the facts to go wrong..lol..
Michael Schumacher (pronounced [ˈmɪçaʔeːl ˈʃuːmaχɐ] , (born January 3, 1969, in Hürth Hermülheim, Germany) is a former Formula One driver, and seven-time world champion. According to the official Formula One website, he is "statistically the greatest driver the sport has ever seen". He is the first German to win the Formula One World championship and is credited with popularising Formula One in Germany. In a 2006 FIA survey, Michael Schumacher was voted the most popular driver among Formula One fans.
After winning two championships with Benetton, Schumacher moved to Ferrari in 1996 and won five consecutive drivers' titles with them from 2000-2004. Schumacher holds many records in Formula One, including most drivers' championships, race victories, fastest laps, pole positions, points scored and most races won in a single season. Schumacher is the first and only Formula One driver to have an entire season of podium finishes (2002). His driving sometimes created controversy—he was twice involved in collisions that determined the outcome of the world championship, most notably his disqualification from the 1997 championship for causing a collision with Jacques Villeneuve. After the 2006 Formula One season Schumacher retired from race driving.
Off the track, Schumacher is an ambassador for UNESCO and a spokesman for driver safety. He has been involved in numerous humanitarian efforts throughout his life. He is the elder brother of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters driver Ralf Schumacher.
He is currently acting as advisor and special test driver for the 2008 Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team.
Schumacher has been honoured during his career. He has won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award twice, in 2002 and 2004 for his performances in the 2001 and 2003 seasons respectively. He has received nominations for the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 awards. No-one has been nominated more times than Schumacher in the award's 7-year history. There have been greats in history and he def will be remembered as one !!
I saw this amazing dedication TO SCHUMI on the following blog with soem mind blowing pics..do have a look at it..would have copied pasted it here but then credit has to be given to the original artists and somethings have to be left....
Go have a look at it @ http://afrozensecond.wordpress.com/
HAIL SCHUMI !!!
Ps:-Words r not enough to describe the man..watch his races and ul know why..hope to see him back on the track ...formula1 wil never be the same without him
ill end this with his famous victory leap...
Placement Phobia???
For ur disappointment i dont have this phobia..but many of my batchmates r stricken with this disease :p..
One month for our placements to begin!!Most say"Oh shit! only a month..i need to start preparing"..these guys r a bunch of losers...getting a good job isnt abt mugging shit!!yes shit because most of my friends who have got placed say monotonously wadever uve done till now is useless and an utter waste of time. It has no relevance in ur job!!
My "mahan" college is further agonizing them by sending mails across that this year placements wil be very less due to the recession and blah blah and that ur ward should attend the placement training!!I agree there is recession but that ainta reason to attend that stupid placement training taught by dumb freaks in the middle of summer from 9 to 5 in a godforsaken prison called vasavi!
The training might help ppl whose english needs improvement and whose skills need to be refined overall but it definitely not necessary for everyone!!Apart from the gds(group discussions) and pi(personal interviews) there is nothing else that attracts me!!The rest of the stuff is already being taught to me at my cat classes and by teachers who r way better..but y wil my dumb college listen to this..i mentioned this to one teacher of mine and got an amazing lecture on this and the authorities threatened to bar people who do not attend the placement training from taking part in the placements!!
Nice warning sir..but that wont work with everyone!! ppl out their r smarter these days..
ok now getting back to the phobia issue...all of them plan to attend the placement training regularly and plan to slog their ass out and study study study during this "crucial" month!! My suggestion to them is instead concentrate on ur CAT or GRE!! that will also help in the placements...
Now the question arises will i attend the placement training???I dont want to but then certain compulsions in life might force me to :p..so if u see me sitting in college totally disgusted and abusing the hell out of ppl..then take picha lite..u know why!!
Wish me luck!!!!
Jaipur - What Next???
Its been happening over and over again...each time the government responds back by saying that they will increase vigil and security in the whole country and take up issues of terrorists camps with our neighbours!!!How long can this happen...every big city..mumbai to delhi to hyderabad and now jaipur has been rocked by the serial bomb attacks and as usual very conveniently the blames put on HUJI...
It sounds more of an excuse for something they dont have an answer. The security agencies have become lack and the intelligence wing needs an overhaul. These attacks are happenin at more regular intervals and each time the scale of attacks is larger and the bombs used become more sophisticated...from cellphones to alarm clocks have been use. They probably did away with the cellphone systems to tick off the bombs because usually the networks go down and they cant detonate further bombs..These guys r intelligent and was just seeing how the bomb was ..it doesnt look like a lay mans work..sophisticated is the word!! small bombs with capabilities to damage big time!!Another alarming thing is the use of cycles..from madegaon to uttar pradesh to hyderabad..everywhere we had bombs detonated on cycles.I think registrations for cycles and number plates should be made necessary as they will atleast help in identifying the source and give us a better link to the whole thing!!
Another angle to it is that some of these attacks have been supported by locals too..from execution to funding. This has to be seriously looked into because we dont want home grown terrorists to join the party of destruction.Reasons and answers have to be given y our very own might be goin against us?? Is it the policies of the government ?? Is it poverty?? WHY????
How long can the government not do about it??Its election year from elections in 4 states and then the national elections comin up within a year!! The government has to give answers !! They have to take some drastic measures!!Enough of being nice!! its time for some action..they know if they dont..they'll get a fitting reply by the citizens of the country and wont be brought back to power on this one very issue...
India its time we changed!! Food for thought!!!

10,000 dead!!! And donno how many more.....Is India Prepared???
Really sad whats happened in china..but is India prepared for a calamity??Does the Indian government have the infrastructure to handle stuff like this??Are our buildings strong enough to take earthquakes of such scale??
The answers sadly to the above questions is NO!!!Its time our government gets ready with an emergency handling team not only on paper but also in actual physical existence. The Earths playing games with volcanoes erupting in Chile to earthquakes in China to cyclones in Myanmar!! We r not far away from one such one hitting our country. Its time we actively take part in Disaster Management..Times runnin out!!Lets make the move before its too late..Hopefully we'll be ready in the NICK OF TIME!!
Below are some of the pics and details abt the Earthquake that struck China.
The death toll in China's worst earthquake in three decades hit at least 10,000 people Tuesday, but was expected to soar amid reports of staggering numbers of students trapped in collapsed schools.
Rescuers also were scrambling to reach the cut-off epicenter of the Monday's earthquake, which struck central Sichuan province but killed people in at least eight other areas of China.
The official Xinhua News Agency reported that nearly 10,000 people died in Sichuan alone and 300 others in other provinces and the mega-city of Chongqing.
It said 1,000 students and teachers were killed or missing after the 7.9-magnitude earthquake crushed a high school in Beichuan county, just east of the quake's epicenter. The deaths were separate from another collapsed school where 900 students are feared dead.
said up to 5,000 people were killed and 80 percent of the buildings had collapsed in Beichuan, in a region of small cities and towns set amid steep hills north of Sichuan's provincial capital of Chengdu. The government has poured more than 16,000 troops into the area with tens of thousands more on the way.
Rain was complicating the rescue effort, which Premier Wen Jiabao said was forecast for the next several days. Wen, who flew to Sichuan to oversee rescue efforts, said a push was on to clear roads and restore electricity as soon as possible.
The quake's epicenter was in Wenchuan, 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Chengdu, but landslides, boulders and downed trees blocked roads into the area.
Xinhua reported that efforts to reach Wenchuan and surrounding areas by land, water and air has failed so far. Rains had not made it possible to land helicopters, and police have even been sent by boat in a local reservoir

"somebody gonna get a hurt real bad"
Russell Peters.. Who else can it be??????????Its difficult writing about him because nothin can match up to style and humour!! See it to believe it!!Undoubtedly the FUNNIEST INDIAN!!!
Russell has made his reputation by speaking to people that no one else is talking to. Much of his comedy speaks to immigrant communities around the world - Indian, Arab, Caribbean, Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Vietnamese, and other South and Southeast Asian communities that remain invisible to the mainstream media and sometimes to the broader white population. Russell’s recent DVD and CD, Outsourced, was taped before a sold out audience at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, and gives viewers and listeners an excellent overview of Russell’s comedic genius. He paces the stage interacting with the audience, tossing off one-liners and engaging in impromptu dialogue with his fans. As much a humorist as a comedian, Russell doesn’t really tell jokes. Rather, he uses his wry observations on the subjects of race, class and culture to illuminate our human shortcomings with the sizzling accuracy of a well-aimed laser. “I don’t put people down,” Russell points out. “I want to elevate them, but in a funny way.” His quick wit and ability to mimic language and accents allows Russell to create characters of all races and cultures and forge an immediate bond with his audiences, regardless of their racial and cultural background. Outsourced has gone eleven times Platinum in his home country of Canada.
Russell has been doing stand up for 18 years and already has an impressive resume. He had a recurring role in the Canadian sitcom Lord Have Mercy and hosted his own BBC chat show Network East Late, where he interviewed Ismail Merchant, of Merchant Ivory productions, UK hit makers Faithless, Gurinder Chadha, director of Bend It Like Beckham and many other South Asian and mainstream artists and personalities. His movie credits include the comedy Quarter Life Crises, My Baby’s Daddy and the martial arts flick Tiger Claws III.
Russell’s comedy is rooted in the reality of growing up brown in white Canadian society. “My family and I are Anglo-Indian,” Russell explains. “Anglo-Indians are a community of Indians from India who mixed with the British when they occupied India. Both of my parents are Anglo-Indian and their parents were Anglo-Indians and so on.”
Popularity
Peters' popularity extends to several countries. In Canada, Peters became the first comedian to sell out at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, with more than 15,000 tickets in two days for the single show. He ended up selling over 30,000 tickets nationally over the two-day sales period. A total of over 50,000 tickets were sold across six cities.

Magic of Criss Angel Explained -Does he actually fly????
Criss Angel is the star and creator of the A&E Network show Criss Angel Mindfreak. Seasons 1 and 2 were filmed at the The Aladdin in Las Vegas, with Season 3 at the Luxor Hotel. Premiering on July 20, 2005, the illusions have included walking on water, levitating above the Luxor Hotel, floating between two buildings, causing a Lamborghini to disappear, surviving in an exploding C4 Crate, cutting himself in half in full view of an audience and getting run over by a steamroller while lying stomach down on a bed of glass.
In one of his recent stunts he supposedly flies in air and boasts of it being true. But there r ppl all over with theories explaining this stunt and that wad he claims is all false!Anyways enjoy the video and believe whoever u think is correct.
Levitate Between Buildings
Effect
Criss Angel stands at the edge of a tall building and holds his arms out. He begins to float, levitates over the edge of the building, and flies some distance before coming to light on another building.
Secret
Angel wears big, baggy clothes for a reason. In this case, the reason is that his body is wrapped with inner tubes that are filled with exactly enough helium to make his weight effectively zero. Because he is buoyant in the atmosphere, a little push off with the feet is enough to send Angel flying slowly through the air to his destination.
Note: This same effect was attempted in the 1930s by a German magician who made the mistakes of filling his apparatus with highly flammable hydrogen and attempting the flight while smoking. The resulting explosion was horrifically spectacular.
Note: Also, you shouldn't try this yourself because you will probably die :pIndia's Best B Schools!
The Top 90 management institutes in the country have been divided into five broad categories. A numerical ranking often does not have a sound scientific basis. The parameters and, more importantly, the weightages given to these tend to be extremely subjective. Given below is the categorisation of the Top B-Schools. Please note that within each category, the B-Schools are listed in alphabetical order – there is no ranking or grading WITHIN each category.
The Top 10 are the so-called 'Ivy-League' institutes that every student dreams of getting an admission into. Many of these institutes are comparable with the best in the world. The "A+" & "A" categories of institutes are those that fall into the Top 30. They offer a high quality of education in terms of faculty quality and infrastructure facilities. These institutes usually have a 100% placement record. The "B+" category of institutes offers a consistent quality of education in terms of faculty and infrastructure facilities even though these may not be comparable to those of the top institutes. These institutes are successful in providing placements to their top students, especially those with good communication skills, but do not have a 100% placement record. The "B" category of institutes are those that are well regarded at a regional level. These institutes may not provide too many national level placement opportunities but are generally successful in providing placements to many of their students with prominent regional level companies.
