Your promises, Mr. Politician, are all played out !!

Your promises, Mr. Politician, are all played out by a 15 year old girl Soven Trehan.Courtesy NDTV

It's good to know that you know
You killed us.
But step aside, please
We have much to do
Much to live for
Too much hope
To let it go to cinders
We know there's someone out there
Much better than you
With a heart
And a soul
You took everything we had
But he s going to give it right back
And maybe you see the error of your ways
And maybe you feel the guilt in your heart
(Do you have a heart?)
And maybe you hear the screams in your dreams
And maybe you feel the pain
But you weren t surrounded by fire
Nor dust
Nor death
You weren't lost
You didn't die
Nor did your family
Nor did your friends
You didn't hear them perish
You didn't see their charred bodies
You didn't see your mother crying on national television
You didn't see your children waiting for you
You didn't see your wife s wretchedness
You didn't see your country burning

You voyeur
And now
You try to assuage us?
You try to tell us about our terror
Our tenor, our spirit, our spunk!
You try to keep alive something, which is already dead?
Damn you!
Our conscience is not yours to steal
We re tired of the games
You play
Within your depraved mind
You do realize
Mr. Politician
That you and terrorism
Go hand in hand

We don't need you

Your promises,
Mr. Politician,
Are all played out.

why are you people going gaga over bashing politicians, they're humans and have mistakes. manmohan said it was intelligence failure, home minister at center and state resigned. they've accepted moral responsibility for the attacks. even navy chief admitted an intelligence collapse. we should stand by the decisions taken by politicians in these hard times. please do not press the panic button.

haha, i'm following the developments very closely mr.hc. wherever i'm, i get the pulse of the nation. i agree politicians should be questioned but bashing indefinitely doesn't solve the purpose. let's be constructive in this needful hour. why don't you write an email to pm stating necessary actions. that'll be step towards solution

That is one amazing writeup.

Hats off to that girl, whos captured the essence of the moment in those few lines.

And every single line shouts out the reality. Every single word, talks about the distraught faced by us.

Awesome !
